BIG LONG DEBUT POST

Yay! Post time :-D
QsOTD: “We don’t make crunk music; we make music that make you crunk.”—Ying Yang Tiwns
“I gotta go take a fat piss.”—Viet sophomore
“Bend over for me.”—some kid in badminton
I remember Friday. I just came out of my last class when Dylan ran up to me. He’s all like, dude you gotta tell Strout you can’t go to the badminton tourney or else you gotta do 100 frog jumps. Oh heck no. There’s nothing worse than frog jumps. Worse than push ups. Maybe I’ll use it as a punishment at scouts…But then I told Strout and he seemed to take it pretty well. Unfortunately, he probably knows my name now . My brother came to Irv again to get a ride w/ me and Tim. Man, when I was in his grade, I had no idea what the insides of Irvington looked like. When we got home, I had so much stuff to do. While Tim and bro were chillin’ on the computers, I did my laundry, packed up, put the dishes away, and sorted out useless clothes. Man I seriously need new clothes. I only have 2-3 sets of each article of clothing. Time to hit the mall :-\. I played Tim Magic. Pwned his Orzhov deck by dealing 75 damage to him, which he prevented 40. But I hate his Green deck . Long came over. He and bro went out to buy pizza. It was delicious; the smokehouse combo. Dude, you see those pizzas on TV all the time, but then I never really got a chance to eat it. Pizza is like the Italian’s gift to earth. So is pasta . Khoi was teaching Tim and Long some scout skills while I was upstairs stuck doing my stupid math homework . There’s nothing more boring, seriously. Luckily, I managed to finish it. Then they all took turns playing Gunbound against each other. I was kind of bored, so I got some aluminum foil and made grillz. Then I wore some “stunner shades,” a “pimp hat,” and fake “bling.” We took a picture of it. Long even made a video. We made a video for “Lean With It, Rock With It.” Those are the kind of songs that should hit clubs and dances . We all slept downstairs. I got hot for some reason, so as I took off my sweater, the guys “raped” me. Don’t worry, nothing serious. It was like tackling/wrestling/feeling over each other. I managed to escape. Man, Long has seriously been “blackified”. He’s all listening to these songs and talking like a wangsta. I’m like, woah. I was trying to sleep, then I got “raped” again. Long took my shirt off. Man, what a stupid ass hmph. Eventually, we slept at 1.

Next day, I woke up the earliest (as usual). That’s me, early to bed, early to rise. Makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise. Showered then put my uniform on. Nhat came up. He got a ride with my mom. The rest of us piled in the Odyssey with dad. And we’re off to Uvas Canyon. Man, the scenery was beautiful. It’s not all barren wasteland or desert. But it’s not just boring old mountains and forest. There were like big green fields and hills and trees everywhere. Not to mention all of these mini waterfalls and rivers. The road was like more swirvy and twisty than usual. Reminds me of the trip up to Chua Kim Son. I was listening to music most of the time. Once we got to the campsite, I thought it was kind of small at first. I was kind of cold and not awake yet. That’s the thing about me and mornings. I can’t really socialize or talk in the morning. Takes me a while to get the feel of the day, y’know what I’m sayin’? The moment I saw Phuong Anh, I was happy and glad that she came. She got a uniform now; that’s a good sign. Ben showed up, even though he said that he wasn’t. Richard came; hadn’t seen him in a while. Anh Huu divided us into patrols. I was with the bears (me, Justin, Lan Anh, Minh Thi, Alvin, and Ben). There were also the panthers (Chris Thai, Mikey, Duong, Kim Khanh, Phi), the tigers (Ngoc, Tim, Nhat, James, Michael, Di-an), and the elephants (bro, Suzie, Richard, Michael (Ben’s lil bro), Chris, and Phuong Anh). Our yell was “Sexy, rawr.” Tigers was “bite me.” Elephants were “stupid, dumb, and hyphy.” Panthers were “An Thit Gau (Eating bears [haters]).” Ben brought along this super big tent. We could’ve pitched it, but we already put up the scout ones. Nhat and Justin were having a dispute over the tent. In the end, Justin got it, but Nhat threatened to piss on it. We had to sleep w/ patrols, so I was with Justin, Alvin, and Ben. I took a picture of Nhat putting Justin’s head at his crotch. There was a flag ceremony. I was the first PL for our patrol. That meant PLCs (argh). We got a packet, and some duties (duty roster, rating other patrols). Then we all met up for a hiking trip. I forgot to bring my Rang Dong shirt . We were to take a short little hike up a little bit. Compared to the 28-mile trip, this was nothing. I ran back and forth from front and back, taking pictures. There were three boxes of doughnuts, so I had some, seeing that I had not breakfast yet. Phuong Anh was hanging with Kim Khanh. Feels kinda weird for me, y’know what I’m sayin’? But I hung around with Phuong Anh too sometimes. It’s her first camping trip, and she never really got much hiking experience. At the top of the hill, we had to play this game where we carried tennis balls with our knees. The elephants won. We lost because Ben dropped the ball :-\. Then we hiked back down. We played even more games. There were 4 injured people. The other two had to carry them over the line one at a time. We won. Justin was going all berserks :-D. Then we played this train game where everyone in a team held onto each other’s shoulders, but closed their eyes. I was in the very back, so I made Justin, who’s in the front, to follow directions. We got the lead because we went up the stairs first. Unfortunately, I made Justin hit a rock and some tree branches. Gee how fun. Just in time for a cooking demonstration by Anh Huu. He showed us how to make caramel and how to season meat. He even showed us dehydrated freeze dried foods that could be made by just adding water. I wonder…if you ate freeze dried dehydrated food and drank water, would you like blow up like a balloon? Duong lost her keys, so we all formed a search party. I went with Phuong Anh. I held her hand as I helped her off a ledge. I just wish I could be more compassionate at times, y’know. Unsuccessful, we went back to the camp. Turns out that Duong had her keys inside her pocket the entire time. We’re all like OMG. Wow, Duong really is getting old LoL jk. Lunch was delicious. We got to eat this yummy red meat. I’m not sure what happened, but I was chasing Phuong Anh for a while. Then we went to make our gates. I made two tripods, while Lan Anh and Minh Thi tied together an A and a B. Surprisingly, Minh Thi draws a cute panda, so we’re the Asian bears, with the panda and some bamboo on our flag. We all met at the benches, where we all got our study guides and got ready to go to the board of review. I noticed Phuong Anh was kind of sad, so I asked her what’s wrong. She says that her gramps in Vietnam got very sick and started to cry. Ngoc and Duong came to comfort her. I couldn’t really do anything. Then it was my turn. I had Thomas review me. I thought he was going to ask like superhard questions. But I answered each question the best as I could and he seemed please with it. Phuong Anh wasn’t ready for the Board of Review. That’s kind of understandable because she’s kind of new. We all played the bench game. 8 benches: we all jump around and pushed others off. For some reason, I pwned, even with like 7 people teamed up on me. Phi beat me a couple of times though. Then it was dinner time. We had to wash our hands. I don’t know who started it, but Phuong Anh and I splashed each other. We had fish, beef, onions, wintermelon (bi), shrimp, green onions, broccoli, and garlic to work with. We seasoned the fish with lemon-salt-pepper. I cut up some bi, onions, garlic, and cha lua. Obviously, we marinated the meat, then cooked them along with the onions and garlic. We steamed the bi and the broccoli and fried them too. Cha lua all seasoned and fried tastes yummy too. Alvin, Ben, and I did most of the cleaning up. I was amazed at Justin’s command in the kitchen. He says that he cooks at home for his parents. There were times where Lan Anh yelled hecka loud at us. Ben called her the “loud one.” I’m freakin’ Asian man. I could do all of that stuff if I wanted to. I guess I was too lazy to lead it . But nonetheless, our food tasted so tasty. Afterwards, there was this big wooden plank in the bench area. The boys all piled on it, pushing each other off until there was one person remaining. I won once; so did Phi and Tim (I think). Tim usually pushed me off in like the first 5 seconds. Once it was just me and Mikey. He was all hitting me with his Chicken Biscuits box. Later I had some; man, those taste good :-D. The game changed when Justin joined. He can take on four of us teamed up on him. I’m like OMG. Mikey threw the Chicken Biscuits box at him. Phi won by pushing Justin off in the end. Wow, Alvin sure loves saying the F word. But he laughs at a lot of stuff . Campfire time. I didn’t enjoy it as much as last time. We didn’t really plan our skits. The panther’s skit was dirty. They called a volunteer to be a panther and a bear. I was the bear. They lead us along in a song then the panther kills the bear in the end. Hmph. Why’d they gotta be all hatin’? Now I kinda know what racism feels like . Bro had his patrol pretend to be our patrol Bro was me. Richard was his cousin Ben, who liked to play CS and eat pho. Little Michael was Justin (boy we sure got a laugh out of that one). Chris was Alvin, who was supposedly in the 7th grade. Suzie was Lan Anh. Wow, she sure got her loud sneezing part down right. After the campfire, we had a scout spirit trail. We closed our eyes and did the train thing to each one of the 12 parts of the scout law. They were lit up with glowsticks and these “light rings.” We all gathered at the end to hear each part of the law and their meaning. I didn’t know where were exactly, it being dark and all. However, I know that we crossed a bridge and heard a waterfall. Man I wanted to go back here tomorrow. We went back and hung by the campfire with a little reflection time. I showed Phuong Anh how to roast a marshmallow. When Thomas sent me to get aluminum foil, I asked her to come with me. I let her look at all of the pictures I’ve taken so far that day. I told her that I hoped her gramps got better. I gave her some roasted squid to eat. We were semi-bored around the campfire, so we poked each other -_-. It was absolutely frigid. I had no choice but to wear both of my sweaters. I wished I had gloves; my hands were so numb. It was like this since we were making dinner. Imagine cutting vegetables and washing your hands and dishes in cold water in cold weather. That just absolutely sucks. As we went back, I gave Phuong Anh a Snoopy keychain. She said thank you and kept saying how cute it was . Turns out our tent is usually the party tent where most people hang out. Tim showed me where to get hot chocolate. I drank some warm che and brought a box of chicken biscuits back to the tent. Justin and Nhat were telling jokes and freestyling against each other. WaaahahaH!! Nhat’s singing is hecka funny, especially when he sings love songs. Man, I’m sick of Vietnamese love songs. If you understand Vietnamese, you can see how sad they really are. Every one of them is the same. The only exceptions are the ones with good beats or are from the past. We sang Laffy Taffy, with me providing the beat. The girls told us to be quiet, so we sang Since You’ve Been Gone just for them . Justin bellyflopped Ben. Ah, he’s only 175 pounds; just as much as Shirish. I was surprisingly warm in my sleeping bag. Alvin snored. Justin told us about scary movies like Dawn of the Dead and the fog, where people die violent gruesome deaths and/or turn into zombies. Luckily, I didn’t hear too much.

Yay yay. It’s Sunday now. I woke up quite early (5:40) . I didn’t really want to rush things, y’know what I’m sayin’? It was absolutely cold. It took me a while to warm up and gather willpower to go out and brush my teeth. It even took more willpower to put on my uniform in this freezing weather :-0. Surpringly, everyone woke up just about early. I managed to get some hot chocolate. I got some for Phuong Anh too, but she didn’t want it. We had to go to the same place as where we went last night for the spirit trail. Wow, so pwetty. I don’t know why James was walking around with Phi’s dad. He referred to Phi’s dad as “that guy.” How disrespectful. Yesterday he didn’t even know my mom’s name and didn’t go for the Board of Review. We went one by one up the trail, where they’d ask us about honor. Then we’d place our hand on the flag and say the oath. We’d get a Huong Dao Viet Nam badge and got to shake hands with everyone. It took quite while, but hey, it was a special ceremony. We’d go back and eat breakfast: Banh Canh and Bo Vien (meatballs :-D). I kinda made fun of Phuong Anh for choosing cup noodles over the soup. In the end, she chose the soup. We played the bench game again. I invited Phuong Anh to play with us. She didn’t really do anything. I pushed everyone off then jumped off myself, so technically, she won . Wow, look; she’s so good; she beat me :-D. We had a “religious service” where everyone got up and shared about their religion. Nhat told us about how after he got hit by a car, his skull was cracked. Amazingly enough, he was healing fast. From that day on, he started to believe in Buddha more, lighting incense and praying to Buddha and his ancestors every night, wishing for something. It makes me question my religious faith. I have Boy Scouts and Buddhism. It’s supposed to teach me to good stuff, right? I’ve been doing good stuff, I guess…I dunno. Maybe I’m not doing good enough. Man, I don’t pray or go to temple that often. Buddhism is unique, but I should seriously try to live by it more. Phuong Anh’s a Catholic. I had a tough time stuffing in the sleeping bag and packing up. Stupid idiots on the outside took the sticks out and made the tent fall on us. Someone smacked me in the head . We met in a circle again to play some games. Man, I took a class on all these camp games, but no good ones came to mind . Then we pretty much parted ways, except for a few of us who stayed back to clean up. We decided to take a walk to the waterfall area. Phuong Anh’s foot hurt, so she walked slowly. I walked with her; more time to talk I guess. She plans on taking an English class over the summer to improve her English. I didn’t know that she played softball. Our troop should hold some kind of sports event, seeing that a lot of us play sports. We took a picture at the river/waterfall We had to climb down some rocks, so I helped Phuong Anh down again. Unfortunately my batteries got coated in chocolate, so my camera didn’t work (phooey). Then we all took one on the bridge, then on the stairs. Then we went back and unfortunately, it was time for all of us to part. I gave Phuong Anh a semi-hug and said bye to everyone. In the car, I was so bushed I fell asleep with my music on. When we got home, Tim’s mom came to pick him up. Then we went to Taco Bell. I was so hungry. I had three Taco Supremes and a Grilled Stuft Burrito. Yeah, those Mexicans really know how to eat. There was supposedly a reunion of the people at my old Vietnamese school, An Lac, today. Mom was sleeping and I was lazy. I watched parts of Forrest Gump, Shanghai Noon, and Freddy vs. Jason. Man, I wanted to see the entire movies. Not Freddy vs. Jason though. It’s hecka stupid. Freddy’s face is all ugly, Jason never dies, and it’s all bloody and fiery for no reason. In the end, Jason carries Freddy’s head, who winks at you. My mom decided to go to the reunion after all. I was hecka tired and I still had the change project slides to do. But a promise was a promise :-\. We drove to San Jose State and walked around in the cold wind to find the Student Union. Wow, this place is really fly. Ping pong tables, pool tables, bowling alleys, arcade with good games, and a foosball table. Everyone was excited to see us and hugging us. They were all saying how tall my brother and I got. Dai, Tam, Lisa, and David still look pretty much the same. Anna, Linda, Judy, and Vanessa all looked a lot prettier. Anthony had big shoulders. James got taller and skinnier. We just chilled and took some pictures. Then I went home, finished them slides, and went to sleepy.

Today
English: Sejal came into our English class. Wow: now we have hecka nerdy smart people in our class.
Bio: Daniel and I researched some foo’ who contributed to evolution. Daniel, being the bonehead he is, said I was looking at porn on the computer. I said Ksheeraja wasn’t really my type (of course). Daniel’s like why, too short for you? I’m all asking, why don’t Ksheeraja and Shirish show “affection” for each other, like holding hands or something? Daniel said why don’t I ask Shirish that? Hmm…a 170 pound guy who could easily beat me up? I’ll pass.
Advisory: The stupid old boring teacher is back. Now we gotta actually read. We can’t eat or listen to music or play chess. That is just booty.
PE: Warball. How retarded.
Math: I was sleepy the entire time. Found out that our change project meeting was postponed to tomorrow.
Lunch: Played Art chess. Took me the entire period, but I beat him.
Health: Saw this video about smoking. It’s hecka nasty. They were showing graphic surgery of a person with lung problems. They ran tests showing how smoke makes your body generate less heat. I learned that chewing tobacco gave you “hairy tongues,” which was absolutely morbid. This guy even had “cauliflower” tongue, where one side was all white and lumpy. Snaps, dude. Disturbing images…
French: I did pretty much all of my French work.
Badminton: How dumb. We practiced serving the entire time. Lisa and I were trying to hit Jason and Luke. Dylan and I lost a doubles game. I want to know WHAT’S WRONG?!
YES! Dad and I went to the supermarket today. I had a big list since last week and bought pretty much whatever I needed. Hot pockets were on sale :-D. I called Phuong Anh and encountered Duong. She’s like who’s this. I’m like I’d like to talk to Phuong Anh; I’m her friend. Somehow she guessed it was me. Dang. Unfortunately she was busy doing homework, so I promised I’d call back. We saved 40 bucks. I called back and she was still busy. It’d be weird to call her tomorrow; I’m busy too, I guess. Wouldn’t want to annoy her and her sisters by calling all the time. Now I’m up here, typing this post. Super long. 2.5 hours. 11:45 right now. But hey, good time to organize my thoughts I guess. I probably wouldn’t have gotten another good chance this week.

In life, it’s hard to find really good friends. It’s even harder to find “the one.” Some say that person will come to you; others go out looking for that person, through dating and stuff. I am really lucky to have met Phuong Anh. I remember one troop meeting I asked her name and age; that’s it. Then there was the ski trip the next day. It was early in the morning. I came to her and started talking to her. I really like talking to her because I’m willing to show her stuff and share things with her. We talk in mostly Vietnamese, so I can practice my Vietnamese more, though it’s choppy and timid . We may not talk about “stupid, dumb, and hyphy” and stuff like that. However, she really made my weekend, coming to this camping trip. It’s kinda like a reward, just being with her for a while after a tough week, y’know. Yeah.
